RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Tina Burner Celebrates Her Birthday in NYC... and You're Invited!

RuPaul's Drag Race's Tina Burner will celebrate her birthday on Tuesday, November 9 with an encore performance of her hit cabaret show, Maybe This Time, at The Q NYC. The show premiered at New York’s Green Room 42 this past summer and Burner has been touring it around the country ever since.

Maybe This Time is much more than a traditional drag performance. With orchestrations and arrangements by Blake Allen, it is a full theatrical production that uses classic Broadway standards - including A Chorus Line’s “What I Did for Love,” La Cage Aux Faux’s “I Am What I Am” and Gypsy’s “Rose’s Turn” - and stand-up comedy to tell the story of Burner’s personal life, from her life today backwards until the first time she realized she was gay.

Tina Burner is the stage name of Kristian Seeber, an drag performer most known for appearing in Shade: Queens of NYC and on the thirteenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race. She was also a member of the boy band, 5th Ring.

Seeber was previously in a relationship with the British late night talk show host, Graham Norton. The two met at Barracuda Lounge in New York City.  Seeber moved to the United Kingdom to be with Norton, until their separation in 2006.

Burner was inspired to create Maybe This Time from her time on RuPaul’s Drag Race.  “While on the TV show, I had the honor of playing the EmShee in Rusical, a character based on the Emcee from Cabaret,” Burner recalls. “I placed in the bottom three for my performance but it was the first time where the viewers really rallied behind me. It reminded me how performing live is my passion and how I needed to get back to my roots because in the words of Sally Bowles, ‘Maybe this time, I’ll win.’”

Maybe This Time gives audiences a chance to see so much more of me than what they saw on TV,” Burner explains. “It's a literal glimpse of the man behind the curtain. There will be laughs and tears, and we will celebrate life! Because "What good is sitting alone in your room? Come hear the music play. Life is a Cabaret, old chum. Come to the Cabaret!”
