FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Pretoria, South Africa (September 30, 2019) - Few verdicts came into the limelight few months back for resurrection pastor Shepherd Bushiri, when his church ended up with a hefty fine of R87, 500. The reason was to create a massive church without following the legal implications. It all started in the year 2015 with Pastor Bushiri, also known as the owner of various commercial operations and businesses. He was the one commencing of creating mega church, called The Enlightened Christian Gathering in Midrand.

When the initial idea arises, this church was announced to host around 10,000 congregates. Trouble started to arise when the residents of the surrounding area started to complaint that the project went underway without their consent. The complaint was made to Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

As per the given laws, construction will need assessment of environmental impact. When an inquiry was sent to the said department, they replied back stating, “The ECG under the fake pastor had not submitted any environmental impact assessment or any kind of permissions before starting the constructional work.”

The problems started to grow when authorities issued compliance notice to church and called it was run by fake prophet. The orders were mainly to stop any illegal construction on site. The church was also informed to carry out missing environmental assessments, with proper emphasis on public participation.

Facing some allegations forced Bushiri to admit guilty and he promised to rectify damages by paying the price. After the payment was made, the church received proper authorization to end the church work.
